Tropical Storm Fay - Report (Updated 8-27)

The plex was subject to another batch of rain, we had a considerable amount of rain last night, we had more rain this afternoon and another batch about an hour ago. The good news, if you have a ute or an atv you don't mind getting wet, you are going to have an insane weekend, there is tons of high and dry camping and parking available and acres and acres of flooded swamp.

If you own a sport bike however, it is a little more complicated. The big new track may be open. If we can't open the entire 1.3 miles of it, we may be able open up a good percentage of it.The peewee track should be open, the old large track will probably not be open, perhaps we can get it open by the end of the weekend, but no promises.

The biggest problem is the main trail between the north and south of the property has an approximately 100' long section that is under 12" of water. The trail is firm and if you don't mind running your bike through 12" of water, the trails below it (the Witches Coven & the 8 mile one way trail) are dry and rideable.  We built a new bypass trail through this area at the beginning of the week, but the additional rain we just had, basically turned this bypass into mush.

The weather forecast calls for a beatiful weekend. The plex has dried really fast previously, so I am not saying you won't have a great time, but just giving you the latest facts. Sorry to announce this so late, but the problem has just arisen today and we felt compelled to let everyone make a decision based on the current situation.
